Doug McCorquodale, RPBio

Founder & Owner

Doug is the Founder and Owner of Pacificus Biological Services Ltd. He has worked in the field of Fisheries Biology for over 30 years. The steady growth and distinguished reputation of this dynamic company is a direct result of Doug’s guidance, extensive knowledge, experience, and management. Additionally, Doug is heavily involved in the changes and practical implementation of fisheries related legislation. His extensive practical background and biological expertise makes him an invaluable contributor to roundtable discussions regarding policy implementation.

Jennifer Russell, RPBio

Supervising Biologist & General Manager

Jennifer is a Supervising Biologist and the General Manager for Pacificus. Since 2001 Jennifer has worked closely with a wide range of clients using her expertise and exceptional management skills to efficiently deliver high quality work that has had a significant factor in the growth and success of the company.  Jennifer has extensive biological planning and management experience in all aspects of the field of Fisheries Biology including project management, in-field assessments, technical writing, and practical recommendations, Jennifer also has specific experience related to water sampling techniques, wildlife surveys and environmental mitigation plans.

Kendra Freund, RPBio

Fisheries Biologist & Field Supervisor

Kendra Freund, BSc. Kendra is a Fisheries Biologist and Field Supervisor, she has been with Pacificus since 2018.  Kendra has demonstrated skills in fisheries and aquatic assessments and surveys. Kendra’s enthusiasm and attention to detail make her a great team leader in the field and she brings that same attention to detail to her project planning, research, and technical reporting.

Jo Gagnon, BSc.

Fisheries Biologist & Field Supervisor

Jo Gagnon is a Fisheries Biologist and Field Supervisor and has been with Pacificus since 2019.  Jo specializes in freshwater habitat assessments and stream classification projects.  Jo is an experienced environmental monitor and works diligently on both our urban and remote industrial projects to ensure all requirements are met.  She is RAPR certified and proficient with the many stream classification systems that are utilized on the coast of B.C.  Jo’s hard work, dedication, and knowledge of coastal environments allow her to plan and manage field projects efficiently, always keeping the client objectives in mind.

David Pratt, RBTech

Fisheries Technologist & Project Manager

David Pratt, RBTech, is a Fisheries Technologist and Project Manager for Pacificus. David has worked with Pacificus since 2007. Dave has extensive experience in applied biology including environmental assessments, planning and monitoring for ecosystem-based management and stream classification. David has worked extensively with the forest industry and civil works providing onsite environmental monitoring during various restoration, construction and deactivation projects. David is relied upon to successfully execute fisheries and marine infrastructure related projects, making him an integral part of the Pacificus team.

Marissa Miles, RPBio

Biologist & Project Manager

Marissa Miles, RPBio, is a Biologist and Project Manager for Pacificus. Working with the company since 2017, Marissa manages many of the environmental sampling programs for a wide range of clients, on projects from oil spills to forestry, mining, aquaculture, and municipal works.  Marissa has extensive knowledge on environmental legislation, policies, and regulations across all levels of government, and provides knowledgeable advice to clients, preparing and submitting government applications regularly.

Teddy Vukovic, BIT.

Fisheries Biologist & Project Manager

Teddy Vukovic is a Fisheries Biologist and Project Manager at Pacificus, where he has been a part of the team since 2019. With a passion for the coastal ecosystems of British Columbia, Teddy brings extensive expertise in marine and freshwater environments; specializing in marine and lacustrine dive surveys, stream classification, fisheries management, environmental sampling, and watershed restoration. Teddy holds certifications including DCBC Occupational SCUBA diver and SVOP – enabling him to conduct specialized underwater surveys safely and effectively. As a hard working and driven professional, Teddy combines his hands-on experience with scientific knowledge to ensure high-quality project outcomes.

Ryan Sirges, BSc.

Fisheries Biologist & Field Supervisor

Ryan Sirges, BSc., is a Fisheries Biologist and Field Supervisor for Pacificus who has worked with Pacificus since 2012. His experience in applied biology includes environmental monitoring, stream classification, fish population surveys and bird surveys. Ryan has demonstrated remarkable skill with numerous subtidal marine assessments and fisheries surveys, underwater infrastructure inspections, and technical reporting. Ryan’s combination of expertise and strong work ethic make him a valued member of the Pacificus team.

Dan Lewis, RBTech

Fisheries Biologist & Field Supervisor

Dan Lewis, RBTech., is a Fisheries Technologist, DCBC Occupational SCUBA Diver, and Field Supervisor who has worked for Pacificus since 2021. Dan is proficient in areas of applied biology which include: Environmental Monitoring, Coastal Stream Classification, Marine Tenure Assessments, Inter/Subtidal invertebrate population assessments & underwater infrastructure assessments. Dan has earned his experience completing numerous projects throughout the mainland coast and Northern Vancouver Island and prides himself on providing a solutions-oriented approach to projects he is involved in. The combination of his hard work, dedication, and experience make Dan an important member of the Pacificus team.

Heather Gough, BEM

Fisheries Biologist & Project Manager

Heather Gough, BEM is a Biologist and Project Manager who has been with Pacificus since 2022. She has experience planning and conducting environmental sampling, including water, soil, and tissue collection for regulatory compliance and environmental health. She has also worked as an environmental monitor on construction projects in and near aquatic environments, ensuring best practices are followed to protect natural resources. In addition to fieldwork, Heather contributes to technical writing, applying her attention to detail to produce clear and accurate reports as part of the Pacificus team.

Brittany Blanchard, BBRM

Fisheries Biologist & Field Supervisor

Brittany Blanchard, BBRM., is a Fisheries Biologist and Field Supervisor, and has been a part of the Pacificus team since 2022. Brittany has experience working in terrestrial, marine and freshwater environments including environmental monitoring in sensitive habitats, terrestrial and aquatic assessments, water quality monitoring, impact assessments and GIS mapping. With a strong background in stream classification and technical reporting, she is well versed in providing accurate, data-driven insights to support conservation and resource management efforts. Brittany is RAPR certified and holds her Small Vessel Operator Proficiency, further enhancing her skill set for field-based work and aquatic environments. Brittany’s positive attitude, strong work ethic and comprehensive understanding of ecosystem dynamics and regulatory requirements make her a valued member of the team.

Henry Jung, CPA, CGA

Accountant

Henry Jung, CPA, CGA, BComm is a professional accountant with 25+ years of Finance/Accounting experience in the manufacturing, food wholesale, publishing, digital advertising, medical & hospitality industries.  He has a  Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting and Management Information Systems from the University of British Columbia.  Henry recently joined Pacificus in early 2022.   Henry’s core competencies include budgeting & forecasting, business intelligence, strategic planning, data mining and management reporting.  His strong analytical skills combined with best-in-class Finance/Accounting and computer experiences gained throughout his career makes Henry a valued addition to our team.

Tanya Clarke

Office Administrator

Tanya Clarke has been the Office Administrator for Pacificus since 2012.  She is the behind-the-scenes logistics coordinator, ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the company. Tanya also plays an integral role as Health and Safety Coordinator for Pacificus, a company that takes pride in upholding its high safety standard. Tanya’s efficiency, knowledge, and outstanding problem-solving abilities have made her an extremely valued member of the Pacificus team.

Robyn Mudie

Office Administrator

Robyn has been Office Administrator for Pacificus at the Campbell River location since 2019.  She plays a vital role in supporting company operations and making sure everything runs as smoothly as possible.  Robyn is always prepared to jump in where needed.  Her positive attitude, organizational skills, and strong work ethic have made her an extremely valued member of the Pacificus team.
