Doug McCorquodale, BSc., RPBio is the Owner and Operations Manager of Pacificus Biological Services and has worked in the field of Fisheries Biology for over fourteen years. Doug has extensive biological planning and management experience and is fully certified to carry out biological assessments including stream classifications and dive assessments (commercial dive certification). He has also acted as the program and project manager for many fisheries management and research initiatives. Jennifer Russell, BSc., RPBio is a Supervising Biologist who has worked with Pacificus for several years. Ms. Russell is experienced in all aspects of fisheries assessment project management providing in-field assessments, technical writing, and project follow-up to clients. She also has specific experience related to water sampling techniques, IPP hydro project assessments, and wildlife surveys. Jen is originally from the North Island and has extensive knowledge of the local ecosystems and communities that rely on them. |

Derek LeBoeuf, BSc. is a Fisheries Biologist at Pacificus who has taken a lead role in our marine assessments and surveys division. Derek has obtained his commercial dive certification and has since spent numerous hours underwater assisting with habitat assessments, population surveys, and industrial diving operations. Derek also has an extensive background in freshwater fish assessment work making him a well-rounded biologist. Derek’s experience, adaptability, and strong work ethic make him an integral part of Pacificus’ operations.

Andrew Taylor, MSc., BSc. is a marine biologist and commercial scuba diver. Andrew has a background in restoration ecology and artificial reef construction, with both international and local experience around the Pacific. He is involved with many of Pacificus’ environmental assessment and habitat mapping projects, and provides underwater support for marine surveys. Since moving to the North Island, Andrew has taken a keen interest in Pacificus’ involvement with fisheries and coastal resource management. |

Myra Connaty, BSc. is a Fisheries Biologist who has returned to Pacificus after some time spent in the coastal forest industry. Myra brings with her an enthusiasm for marine biology and a thorough understanding of coastal ecosystem needs. Her extensive experience in applied biology includes habitat assessments, environmental planning and monitoring, and stream classification including habitat classification for ecosystem-based management. |

David Pratt, Dipl. Tech. works as a Fisheries Technologist for Pacificus. David brings a keen interest in the field of fisheries biology and extensive coastal mariner experience to Pacificus. David is a Canadian Coast Guard certified Small Commercial Vessel Operator and has spent numerous hours working on our local waterways. He is a conscientious worker whose mechanical aptitude and fish knowledge are relied upon for project planning and execution. |

Natasha Bridger, BSc. provides administrative support to operations at Pacificus. Natasha’s organizational skills and attention to detail provide an important link to our reporting and financial tracking systems. Her thorough manner and dedicated approach make Natasha a valuable asset to our technical team. |
Technical Specialists

Bud Bell, is an experienced WCB-certified commercial diver who works with Pacificus on many of our dive assessments and marine projects. Bud is an experienced mariner providing navigation, project design, and field organization skills. Mr. Bell is also a forestry technician who works on other field projects, bringing proficiency and planning to site assessments and inventory projects. Bud’s affinity for S.C.U.B.A. diving has led him to Pacificus and we are pleased to have him as part of our operations. |
